Mrs. Mary J. Marty, wife of Henry
Marty, died Sunday evening at 6:55
at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Mattie Joseph, 326 South Ransom
street, at the age of 68. She is sur-
vived by her husband and one daugh-
ter, Mrs. Mattie Joseph, of this city.
She has been a resident in Wapello
county for sixty-three years and thir-
ty of these have been spent in Ot-
tumwa. She was a member of the
Main street Methodist church.
The funeral services will be held
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from
the residence of her daughter and at
2:30 from the Willard Street Method-
ist church. Services will be conduct-
ed by Rev. Charles Field and M. E.
Ruesch. Friends from the west end
and Main street churches are invited.
