EARL LUISIER

Mr. Earl J. Luisier, 92, of 609 S.27th Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 1989 at his residence. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Saturday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Bruce McKenney will officiate and entombment will be in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.

Earl was born March 25, 1897 at Lena, Wisconsin, son of the late Emil and rose Shimek Luisier. He grew up at Lena and attended local schools. He was employed at Bahr Construction Company for 45 years, retiring in 1969.

He married Esther C. Neuman on March 6, 1929 at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. L. H. Koeninger. The couple celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this year.

Earl enjoyed reading, woodworking and made spinning wheels. He was a charter member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and former President of the church council.

Survivors include his wife, Esther, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Irvin and Dolores Luisier of Saukville, Wisconsin and Ralph Luisier of Glendale, Wisconsin; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Josephine Luisier of Lena, Wisconsin; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme F? of Lincoln, Illinois and Mrs. Eunice Turriff of DePere, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11 am to the time of services. Reinbold Pfeffer urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is serving the family. Memorials may be made to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
