Ron was born in Ringtown, PA, the youngest of 9 children of the late Jacob and Eva (Horne) Laudig.
He was employed with AMP, Inc. (now Tyco) for 37 years as a development engineer. He has 24 United States patents and 2 foreign patents. His connector design for the Atomic Energy Commission that became an International Standard meant the most to him.
Ron was a master mason and 50 year member of the Right Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of PA, Lowther Manor Lodge #781, Camp Hill, PA.
He lived an active life with varied interests retiring to Florida where he enjoyed sunshine, golf and traveling.
Surviving is his loving wife, Sharon, of 38 years; sons Barry (Jean) Laudig, Perry Laudig; daughters Karen Masterson, Terry Laudig, Sharon (Hoyt) Wetzel; stepson Richard (Cathy) Boughner; stepdaughter Cindy (Scott) Stoerzinger; 3 sisters - Dorothy McCarthy, Naomi Everett and Gladys Dennis; several nieces and nephews; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Ron was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold, Walter and Paul Laudig; his sisters, Catherine Laudig and Ruth Dennis; and his stepson, Thomas Boughner.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsburg, PA.
