Beverly J. Scadrborough, 91, of Rock Hill, MO, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 10:30 am February 27, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Alana Standeven in Rock Hill, MO.

She was born October 1, 1921 in Albia to Oscar Luidwig and Lilly Undella Bleed Carlson. She married Max B. Scarborough on July of 1945. He preceded her in death in June of 1981. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had worked at Wapello Dairy.

She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Ottumwa, where she was active in Sunday school, the choir and Women's Fellowship. She gave rides to church to those members who could no longer get there by themselves.

Surviving is her daughter, Alana(John)Standeven of Rock Hill, MO; four grandchildren, Amanda Nelson, Rebecca Beery, Debbie Scarbouough and Bennett Standeven; 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Max L. Scarborough; an infant grandson; two sisters, Barbara"Jerry"Davis and infant Shirley Carlson; and a brother, Donald O. Carlson.

Graveside services and burial will be 1 pm Monday March 19th, at Shaul Cemetery with Rev. James Altmaier officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Plymouth Congregational Church. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
