He died at home, 1017 South Fifth, after being ill for four months.
He belonged to the Lutheran church, the Masonic lodge and Consistory, and to the Isis shrine.
He was survived by his brothers, Alex and Ernest of Salina, Kansas, and Fred of Salt Lake City, Utah. Alex attended his Atchison funeral along with George's widow and many members of her family. Alex accompanied the widow and her daughter to Salina for burial and Masonic services.
