She was born October 11, 1893, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, the daughter of Tom and Victoria Dodson Stringer.

She resided most of her life in and around Somerset, Kentucky. She was married in September, 1911, in Pulaski County, to John T. Adams, who preceded her in death in June, 1947. She was married in September, 1952, in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to DeWitt Hudson, who preceded her in death June 19, 1964.

She attended school in Pulaski County. She moved to Pine Village in 1968, where she resided until moving to the nursing home in 1976. She was a member of West Somerset Baptist Church.

Surviving are one son, Thomas Adams, Pine Village; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Gene (Elaine) Stephens, Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Mrs. Andy (Birdie) Eastridge, West Milton, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pulaski County Funeral Home, Somerset, with burial in Ringgold Cemetery, Somerset." – Star Tribune, September 29, 1987
