Margaret was the daughter of Christopher and Christine Finks Blankenbaker. Margaret known as Peggy is the granddaughter of Matthias Blankenbaker and wife Mary; and Mark Finks and wife Elizabeth (Eva).
She married Samuel Carpenter, March 26, 1793 Culpeper County Virginia,("Virginia Marriages 1785-1940, Culpeper Virginia). Peggy Carpenter received $26.00 pension for Samuels service in the Revolutionary War as a private.

They were the parents of:
Sarah wife of Laban Yager son of John and Margaret Yager,
Abel Carpenter married Susan Smith, moved his family to Kentucky,
Rhoda married Fielding Smith,
Lovell Carpenter married Sarah Hutcherson daughter of Joshua and Polly Hutcherson, Lovell moved his family to Missouri, buried in Allen Cemetery, St. Clair County Missouri.
