Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 13, 2013 at Meredith Nowell in Clarksdale, MS. with burial in the Barbee Cemetery Lula, MS. Meredith Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Sparks graduated from Marks High School in 1954. He joined the United States Air Force after graduation, after serving proudly for 20 years he retired from the Air Force and moved back to the delta to farm.
Survivors include: Wife: Barbara Hudak Sparks of 18 years. His sons Rob ( Brenda) Sparks of Merigold, Tony (Felina) Torres of Phoenix, AZ. Grandchildren, Sam (Sarah) Sparks of Honolulu, HI, Dawn Ballard of Merigold, MS. , Lawrence (Stephanie) Sparks of Sparks, NV. , Chris (Amanda) Sparks of Florence, TX. , Chad Sparks of Jackson, MS. , Carlee and Jace of Phoenix, AZ. Great Grandchildren: Ryan, Logan, Kirby, Joaquin, Hannah, Isaiah, C J, Mason, and soon to be born Xander also a host of neices and nephews, sister: JoAnn Rutland of Hattisburg, MS. , brother James Sparks of Memphis, TN.
