Edith M. Mott, age 80, of 3602 Mackert St., Manitowoc, died on Saturday evening, Feb. 20, 2010, at her residence.

She was born on July 29, 1929, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Arthur and Georgianna (Vareno) Hindt. Edith attended Two Rivers High School.

On Feb. 18, 1950, she married Eugene Mott at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1997.

Edith was employed at Invincible Metal Furniture Company of Manitowoc until her retirement.

She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law: Roland and Pat Hindt; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Elaine and George Beltz; and Ethel and John Schrimpf.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment of the cremated remains at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, until 10:45 a.m.

Edith had wonderful neighbors she could always rely on. Edith especially enjoyed "up north", feeding the birds, deer and raccoons. After their retirement, Edith and Eugene moved to the Crivitz area and enjoyed each day there, until Eugene's illness brought them back to Manitowoc in May of 1997.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to the Aurora Hospice, especially Dawn and Pam, for their compassion and care.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
