Lewis, the twelve year old son of Mr. Hayes,living in the north part of the township, died last Sunday. He was afflicted with abscess of the stomach. The funeral was conducted by A. H. Parker, pastor of the M. E. Church at Sterling, His remains were laid to rest in Cottonwood Cemetery at Sterling.
