ROBERT MILLS
PONTOTOC – Robert Houston Mills, 76, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his residence. He was born on June 14, 1936, in Belden, to Johnny and Cleo Otts Mills. He married Mary A. Bridgman Mills on April 16, 1955, and shared over 57 years together raising a wonderful family. He was a Christian and a member of Anchor Baptist Church in Pontotoc. He loved spending time with his family, gardening, hunting, fishing, music and spending time with his little buddy, Simba. He retired from Ram Gold after working 31 years.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. at Anchor Baptist Church with Bro. Ted Burcham officiating. Burial will follow in Pontotoc Memorial Gardens Cemetery of Pontotoc. Baldwin Nowell Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Mills of Pontotoc; two daughters, Margaret Spears (Neal) and Kathy Young (Waymon); son, Scott Mills; four grandchildren, Lisa Hill (Chris), Jim Bob Coleman (Carrie Ann), Tuesday Coleman and Chad Bivens (Betsy); six grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth Mills (Barbara), Roy Mills (Lajune) and Jimmy Mills (Diane); three sisters, Vonnie Hunt, Martha Goggins and Peggy Tutor (Lane); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Cleo Mills; and son, Robert Lee Mills.
Pallbearers to serve will be Randy Goggins, Tim Goggins, Stevie Goggins, Terry Tutor, Tony Mills and Chris Mills.
Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. today at Anchor Baptist Church and noon until service time Monday.
