Mrs Julia Bartaby Nicholas
Mrs Julia Bartaby Nicholas, 42 years old, of 635 Fifty-Third Street, South Brooklyn, died on Sunday from a complication of diseases. Her funeral services will be held this evening, the Rev. Warren I. Bowman, past of the Eighteenth Street M.E. Church and the Rev. Dr. David D. Irvine, pastor of the Richmond Hill M.E. Church, officiating.
The interment tomorrow, will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs Nicholas was born in South Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Captain James Robert and Ann Belton Bartaby. Her father was in command of the bark Saranac when it was captured by the Spanish in the Spanish-American War. Mrs Nicholas was formerly active in the work of the Morris Park M.E. Church and until a few months ago lived at Morris Park.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Nicholas, an instructor in the Murray Hill Evening Trade School: and an infant son, Harold Edwin.
