Son of Marshall Matthew Barrington and Lavise Lunsford. Spouse of Percy Caroline Wood(w)ard. Father of Samuel Columbus, Emma Lavise, Bettie, Arthur Wesley, Robert Sanders, Nancy May.

Moved to Texas in 1875, found on the 1880 census of Leon Co., Texas and the 1900 census of Williamson Co., Tex. where he lived out the remainder of his life until illness required his admission to the Confederate Home in Austin, Texas in 1929, where he died.
