Mrs. Henry Potter, nee Dora Augusta Sheriff, died in Brothertown May 16. Mrs. Potter had suffered from heart trouble for many years and recently had spent seven weeks at the General Hospital, Madison. She returned from the hospital on may 4 and a week later suffered a paralytic stroke from which she did not rally.
The funeral was held Saturday from the residence and from the Methodist church, Stockbridge, with Rev. Chas. Dobberstin officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
Mrs. Potter was born Aug. 14, 1880, on a farm south of the Village of Stockbridge. At an early age she moved with her parents to a home on the Lake Shore road where she lived until her marriage Nov. 24, 1906 to Henry Potter of Brothertown.
Survivors beside her husband are a daughter, Mrs. George Polzin, Stockbridge; three sisters, Maude Makowsky, Fergus Falls, Minn.; Mrs. L. N. Davidson, Hiwasse, Ark.; Mrs. Laura Holla, Underhill, Wis.; and one granddaughter.
