Ethelyn Arlene D'Water, age 83, of Olivet died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from injuries she sustained in a single car accident.
Mrs. D'Water was born on October 9, 1927 in Marshall to Lloyd Henry Clayton and Ruth Elizabeth (Hammond) Freer. Ethelyn was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Borgess Nursing School. She was a Registered Nurse working at Harvard Industries in Albion.
She married John E. Billman. He preceded her in death in 1959. On November 4, 1989, she married Nelson W. D'Water in Marshall.
Mrs. D'Water had a gentle spirit about herself. She always greeted everyone with a warm smile and was a gracious hostess. Ethelyn was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching both college and professions teams on television. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed raising roses in her gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Nelson W. D'Water; son, James Billman of Marshall; daughter, Janet (Jay) Roberts of Marshall; step-children, Joyce

She was preceded in death by sons, Clayton Billman, Wesley A. Billman and John C. Billman; and a sister, Avis Williams.and her parents Lloyd Henry Clayton and Ruth Elizabeth Freer
The family will receive friends from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marshall.
A funeral service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 1 PM Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the funeral home with Reverend David Nicholls officiating.
Interment will follow in Albion Memory Gardens.
