Joan S. Peltier, age 70, of 1512 S. 37th St, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, April 16, 1995, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 1995, at the Knollwood Memorial Chapel, town of Kossuth. Rev. Robert Meyer will officiate with cremation having taken place and entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum.
She was born June 25, 1925, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Lake and Loretta Nemechek Michigan Smith. She attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School.
She married Eugene Peltier April 29, 1944, in Manitowoc where the couple resided. She was employed with Sorge Milk Company which later was Lake to Lake and following that Land O’Lakes, until retiring in 1986.
Survivors include five sons and three daughters-in-law, David and Gloria Peltier, Superior, Wis., Richard Peltier, Manitowoc, Gerald Peltier, Milwaukee, Donald and Lynn Peltier, Manitowoc, Kevin and Tina Peltier, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ralph Gastelum, Chandler, Ariz, Bonnie and Robert Ashburn, Port Edwards, Wis.; a brother and sister-in-law, Bert and Grace Smith, Manitowoc; two sisters, Marjorie Petersen, Helen Morz, both of Manitowoc; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the Knollwood Chapel.
There will be no Tuesday evening visitation at the funeral home.
The Jens Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
