Born in Cumberland County, N.C., he was the son of the late Coy Sanford and Cora Dudley Brock.
He was a cabinet maker and owned Brock's Cabinet Shop.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Varas Brock; a daughter, Sue B. Leftwich, of Raeford, N.C.; a son, William Sanford Brock, of Easley; a brother, P. Paul Brock, of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, March 27, 2004, at noon in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
