Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening and with the family from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Adaline Cora (Olson) Aarhus was born on July 7, 1913, in Orient, WA to Simon and Carrie (Hilleren) Olson.
She graduated from Montevideo High School, took teachers training and later earned her B.S. degree at the University of Minnesota - Morris.
On May 15, 1937, she was united in marriage to Henry Aarhus. She taught rural schools, in Holloway and taught sixth grade and was elementary principal in Maynard for a number of years before retiring in 1975.
She lived in Montevideo until a couple of years ago when she moved to New Ulm, where she was currently a resident at Ridgeway on German.
She loved to garden, read, embroider, do crossword puzzles and visit with her friends.
She is survived by four children: Stanley (Lynn) Aarhus of Plattsmouth, NE, Arthur (Marilyn) Aarhus, Champlin, MN, Anita Thomas of New Ulm, and Linda Amundson of Woodbury; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry in 1971; a sister and two brothers.
