Harry E. Ritchey, age 98, of 3706 Schroeder Drive, Manitowoc, died early on Friday evening, June 26, 2009, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Harry was born on Aug. 4, 1910, in Vergas, Minn.; son of the late Andrew and Naomi Hanks Ritchey.
He married the former Lilyan Tollesfrud in 1932. She preceded him in death in 1983. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II serving on the U.S.S. Goodhue as a radio operator. On Sept. 13, 1985, he married Dorothy Augustine Westphal in Manitowoc.
He was a depot agent for the Soo Line Railroad all over the Midwest moving to Manitowoc in 1964 and returning in 1975.
Harry was a member of the Green Bay Federation of Musicians, former member of the Green Bay Packer Band, Lakeshore Wind Ensemble, Manitowoc Marine Band, Two Rivers Municipal Band, VFW Otto-Oas Post No. 659 of Manitowoc, and Masonic Lodge #65.

He was preceded in death by three sisters: Florence Ebinger, Edith Solberg, Leone Guild.
Private family services were held with entombment of his cremated remains placed at Knollwood Mausoleum. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the Ritchey family.
