ELSIE KOEPPEL

Mrs. Elsie Koeppel, 84, of Whitelaw, died Wednesday, July 24, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville and 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Koeppel, nee Elsie Seibert, was born Nov. 28, 1900 at Francis Creek, daughter of the late Charles and Kathryn Hutterer Seibert. She was married to George Koeppel , Jan. 21, 1922, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple farmed at Cato and moved to Whitelaw in 1958. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 17, 1959. Mrs. Koeppel was a member of Christian Mothers Society of St. Michael Church and The Whitelaw Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert and Dolores Koeppel of Whitelaw, Vernon and Lorraine Koeppel of Whitelaw; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and William Sheahan of Whitelaw; seven grandchildren, Tom and Anne Koeppel, Billy and Bobby Koeppel, Kay, Kelley and Russell Sheahan; a great granddaughter, Corie Koeppel; a brother, John Seibert of Evanston, Ill.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Frank Muller and Mrs. Helen Schulte of Milwaukee and Sam Bucher of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mayme Seibert of Manitowoc and Mrs. Celia Kaderabek of Branch. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday until the time of services. A rosary service will be 7:30 p.m. Friday by Father Heymen and Christian Mothers.
