She was a 1971 graduate of George Marshall High School, Falls Church, VA and continued on to graduate Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude, from The University of Texas of Permian Basin, Odessa, Texas in 1981.
Candace also attended James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA. She is listed in the Who's Who of College and University Women.
At one time, she worked for Bank of America, Hayward, CA.
She taught school at Nimitz Junior High School, in Odessa, Texas and was nominated Teacher of the Year for 1989.
Candace died as a result of a tragic car accident in Odessa, Texas.
