Joseph R. Rosplochowski
Joseph R. Rosplochowski, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal rest, Saturday, May 28, 2005, at North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, after a very courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial mass will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate. Cremation will have taken place. Friends and relatives may call at the church on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. until the time of mass.

Joe was born on March 24, 1929 in Milwaukee to the late Joseph and Stella Bagroski Rosplochowski. He completed his high school education in Milwaukee before joining the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at several companies, including Kimberly-Clark, before getting his dream job in 1961, at the Omro Post Office, as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He met a lot of interesting and friendly people on his routes until his retirement, when he moved to Manitowoc. Joe traveled throughout Europe, and in his retirement years was very active as a volunteer in the Red Cross and at the Manitowoc Senior Center. He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Joe was a great card player, and especially loved playing duplicate bridge. Joe will be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include three children, Stephen Rosplochowski of Omro; Michael Rosplochowski and Cheryl (Dan) Gabrielson, all of Appleton; five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Melissa Rosplochowski, Kerry and Jon Gabrielson; a great grandson, Trenton Blau; a sister, Evelyn Derler of Adell; a very special friend, Marian, of Manitowoc, also other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Richard.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc, Wisconsin is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
