EUGENE SANDERSON
Eugene E. Sanderson, age 88, a resident of White Bear Lake, Minn., and formerly of 1026 S. 21st St., Manitowoc, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at St. John Hospital, St. Paul, Minn.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski, O.F.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, Monday, Aug. 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
Eugene was born Sept. 4, 1913 in Manitowoc, to the late Sigward and Phina Berge Sanderson.
He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1932.
He married Violet Sobieski, Oct. 7, 1942 in Manitowoc. Mrs. Sanderson preceded him in death Oct. 24, 1990.
Eugene was a long-time employee of the former Eastman Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Golden Kiwanis Club, Eagle's Aires #709, Knights of Columbus Council #710 and the Manitowoc Barbershoppers.
Survivors include a daughter: Mary Jo (Thomas) Holly of White Bear Lake, Minn.; two grandchildren: Margaret (Randy) Benson of St. Paul, Minn., and Michael Holly of White Bear Lake, Minn.; also other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister: Ruth Kodet.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, assisted the Sanderson family with funeral arrangements.
