Oscar was born on Aug. 12, 1916 in the Town of Holland, the son of the late Garret and Mary (Meengs) Hilbelink. Oscar attended Southside School in Cedar Grove.
On April 2, 1936 he married the late Helen Brasser in the Town of Lima. She preceded him in death on Feb. 23, 2003.
Oscar worked at Krier Canning Co. He was a member of Gibbsville Reformed Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Lois Doro of Sheboygan, Irene (Edgar) Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Carol Meyer of Plymouth and Barbara (David) Schmitt of Sheboygan; seven sons, Gerald Hilbelink of Cedar Grove, Orlan (Kathy) Hilbelink of Sheboygan, Kenneth Hilbelink of Gibbsville, David (Leanne) Hilbelink of Oostburg, Gary Hilbelink of Bowling Green, Ky., Richard Hilbelink of Manitowoc and Bruce Hilbelink of Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility. Oscar is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Arlene Gahagen of Sheboygan and Mildred Schmidt of Arizona.
Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Eugene Hilbelink, one great-grandson, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law and four brothers.
