The funeral of Mrs. Clarissa LINCOLN GREEN widow of the late Lorenzo GREEN passed away Sunday, January 21, age nearly seventy five years, was held from the family home Wednesday, January 24th. Rev. J. M. MERRILL, pastor of the Congregation Church officiated. Interment in the Valley View Cemetery.
Among those present from out of town Mr. and Mrs. TURNEY of Charlotte Central, William FULLER, Mrs. Minnie GREEN of Jamestown, Mr. and Mrs. Albert WHEELOCK, Ezra KIMBALL of Poland, Mr. and Mrs. Henry LORD of Dewittville and Mrs. Marina PUTNAM of Campbell.
Clarissa LINCOLN was born in Ticonderoga, New York, April 23, 1837 one of a family of eleven children, the last one to pass away, coming to Chautauqua County with her parents at the age of 2 years which has since been her home. She was married to Lorenzo GREEN, August 25, 1855. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. GREEN of whom four survive. Theron L., Seward L., Ellen and Ira L.. These and a grandson Marion T. GREEN all reside in Ellington.
