RALEIGH - Ormond and Gaynell Bailey died together on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20 at New Hope Baptist Church where they both were active members for over 55 years. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park.
Gaynell Batton Bailey was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late Albert Batton and Hattie Fuller Batton. She worked for International Paper Company for 21 years and later retired from Ajinomoto.
Surviving: their children, Donna Bailey Lewis (William) of Raleigh and Jackie Glenn Bailey (Amy) of Youngsville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bailey is preceded in death by her siblings, Mahlon Batton, Maddie Miller, Tom Batton, Bill Batton, Joyce High and Geraldine Fraizer.
