CLARENCE JOHN "SAM" SCHMEISER
Clarence J. Schmeiser, age 82, of 2306 38th St., Two Rivers, died early Tuesday morning, April 11, 2000, at Two Rivers Community Hospital. A Private Family Committal Service for his cremains will be held at a later date at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum.
He was born July 24, 1917, at Chilton, Wis., son of the late Edward and Margaret Drews Schmeiser. He attended Chilton public schools, graduating with the class of 1935. Clarence was an Army veteran serving from 1942-1945.
He married the former Lorraine Rappi on June 8, 1946, at Marquette, Mich.
He was a gas supervisor for Wisconsin Public Service for 28 years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Schmeiser, Two Rivers; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol and Jack Pribek, Two Rivers, Gail and Bradley Kreisa, Two Rivers, Debbie Wilke, Two Rivers; five grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister-in-law, Arleen Schmeiser, Chilton. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials would be appreciated to Alzheimer's research. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center is assisting the family.
