Leonard Hiboner Baker

Funeral services for Leonard H Baker, 90, of Reese Community near Jacksonville and father of Annie Corbett of Athens, were held at 4:00 pm Wednesday in the Thompson Funeral Chapel in Jacksonville with the Reverend Roy Goebel officiating.
Burial will be in Reese Cemetery.
Mr. Baker died Monday night, August 1, 1983, in a Jacksonville hospital after an extended illness.
Born June 6, 1893 in Hayden, Indiana to the late William David Baker and Leanah Matheny. Mr. Baker lived in Reese most of his life. He was a member of Coves Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Annie Corbett of Athens; Dorothy Etheridge and Juanita Williams, both of Reese; Olga Mae Harp and Martha Lee Baker, both of Jacksonville; and Mildred Brown of Dayton; one brother Willard Russell Baker of Lake Livingston; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Jay Aldrich, Emmett Scott, Roy Burns, Jim Lundy, Mike Brightwell and Dennis Berry.
