Corilla married William Evander Penn on April 30, 1856. They adopted a boy (Elton) and two girls (Maggie and Clyde). Clyde died in childhood. In 1870 the family was living in Jefferson, Texas.

The following appeared in the Arkansas Gazette, September 28, 1917:

"Eureka Springs, September 27 - Mrs. W. E. Penn, aged 84 years, widow of Major W. E. Penn, noted evangelist of the Baptist church, died here Tuesday. She had been a resident of Eureka Springs since 1887."
