CLEARFIELD - Perry Jay Scott, 63, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010 at Rocky Mtn. Care Center from cancer.

He was born on December 6, 1946 in Pocatello, Idaho the son of Wayne M. and Thea D. Warren Scott.

Perry was mentally challenged and faced many difficulties and challenges in his life. Perry was gifted with an amazing ability to be positive and cheerful. He always looked on the bright side. Perry loved everyone and everyone loved him. He made friends easily and enjoyed serving them.

Perry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and ordained to office of a Priest.

His favorite hobby was bowling. He was a member of the Davis Angels Bowling League, where he won many awards. He also participated in Special Olympics and competed every year at BYU, in track and bicycling.

He especially loved his family. He enjoyed Grandma's cooking, music, singing, crafts, and collecting things. He was a great example of love and courage to us all.

Surviving are his brothers, Larry Scott (Rachel), Bountiful; Welby Scott (Sally), Spring City; sisters, Linda Sisneros, Syracuse; Renae Brady (Robert), So. Jordan; and many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, Shirley Dvorak, and brother-in-law, Ben Sisneros.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
