SALUDA, S.C. - William Keith Bedenbaugh Sr., 68, of Yarborough Road, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, in the V.A. Medical Center in Augusta.

Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late W. Brabham and Lizzie Hawkins Bedenbaugh. Mr. Bedenbaugh was a former Military Police in the U.S. Army and was the retired owner of Bedenbaughs B.P. Service Station.

He was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Norris Bedenbaugh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Tara Bedenbaugh Jr. and Kendall "Butch" and Jeanette Bedenbaugh all of Saluda; grandchildren, William Keith "Will" Bedenbaugh III, Kelle "Nikki" Bedenbaugh and Kayla Bedenbaugh and two nephews. Mr. Bedenbaugh was preceded in death by a brother, Wendell Bedenbaugh.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2002, at Emmanuel Church with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:50 p.m., Friday at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Church, Columbia Highway, Saluda, SC 29138. Ramey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
