The Oklahoman, Tuesday, Aug 12, 1975:
George Cooper Naden, 98, of 6615 Avondale Drive, died Monday at a local nursing home following a long illness. Services are set for 2 pm Wednesday at Hahn-Cook, Street & Draper Funeral Home with entombment in Fairlawn Mausoleum.

Born in Plattville. IL, Naden moved to Oklahoma City in 1908. He operated a real estate office and bought and sold oil leases over Oklahoma. He made first mortgage loans and owned three Ford agencies over Oklahoma at various times.

He helped organize the Oklahoma Board of Realtors. He was a charter member of the Oklahoma City Boat Club, the Lakeside Golf & Country Club, Oklahoma Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club. He was a life member of the '89er Association of the Oklahoma Historical Society, First Presbyterian Church and several citizen groups.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows, and was a past Noble Grand and a life member of Lodge No. 8. He was a Mason, a member of the Royal Arch and Guthrie Consistory Lodge. He was a member of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 10, Young Men's Christian Association and Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Indian Temple Shrine, played in the band 31 years and sang in the Chanters Chorus until becoming ill. He belonged to the Barbershop Harmony Singers, the SPEBSQSA singing organization, the Southern Serenaders Quartet, and organized the Poison Ivy Quartet.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred.
