Lois Lewis Alderman, 61, of 603 Belmont St., Collinsville, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.

She was born July 10, 1948, in Martinsville to Luther D. and Myrtle E. Turner Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Lewis.

She attended John D. Bassett High School and had been disabled for several years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Bruce Alderman of the home; a daughter, Melissa Mills of Martinsville; a sister, Edith L. Hall of High Point, N.C.; and one grandson.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Lawrence Harris and Pastor Michael Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour before the service Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter at No. A1, 101 Crescent St., Martinsville.
