KINGSPORT - Lester Allen Arnold age 57, passed away Tuesday (July 11, 2006) after a long battle with diabetes.
He was born in Sullivan County. Mr. Arnold was a 1968 graduate of Gate City High School and had 33 years of service with the Kingsport Press.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia Marie Oaks Arnold; son, Kenneth Allen Arnold; special aunt, Margaret Greene.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Sandra Arnold, of the home; son, James "Jimmy" Wayne Arnold, Kingsport; granddaughter, Kaley Arnold, father, Coy Allen Arnold, Gate City, Va.; sister, Linda Rasnick and husband Doyle, Tazewell, Va.; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Eulogies will be by Randall Spivey and Larry Spivey.
Music will be provided by Dennie Haynes.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Interment will follow in the Holston View Cemetery.
