Mr. Brian was born on a farm near Waverly, October 25, 1860, the son of James L. and Anna McCully Brian, and was 84 years of age at the time of his death. For many years he farmed near Lowder, and moved to Waverly fifteen years ago.
He is survived by six children: Mrs. Earl Grant of Athens, Ralph Brian of Santa Barbara, Calif., Mrs. T. C. Edwards of Bethesda, Md., Mrs. T. P. Feeney and Miss Eva Brian of New York City, and Stanley Brian, of Owensboro, Ky. He also leaves ten grandchildren.
The body was brought here to the Fairbanks Home for Funerals, and will remain there until the funeral service, which will be held at the First Methodist church, this afternoon, Friday at 1:30 o'clock. The casket will not be opened at the church. Burial will be in East cemetery.
