Mrs. Novosad was born October 28, 1924 in Moulton, Texas. She was the daughter of Rudolph A. and Annie (Selzer) Haas. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Her hobbies were quilting, playing dominoes, and going to play bingo. She was past president of the Altar Society, and a member of the Catholic Daughters, VFW Auxiliary, and Christian Mothers. She was employed by the Moulton Senior Citizens Center for 26 years. Her greatest joy was playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons; Erwin Wayne Fojt of Moulton, Texas, John E. Fojt of Moulton, Texas, Ernie Novosad of Moulton, Texas, three daughters; Barbara Etlinger and her husband, Willie Joe of Victoria, Texas, Beverly Krejci and her husband, Chris of Victoria, Texas, Karen Janak and her husband, Gerard of Shiner, Texas, one brother; Daniel Haas of Park Ridge, Illinois, one sister; Agnes Ultterweiler of Park Ridge, Illinois, ten grandchildren; Brian Etlinger, Darren and his wife, Tatiana Etlinger, Rebecca and her husband, Dennis Redding, Kyle and his wife, Chrissy Krejci, Kristina and her husband, Bryan Chandler, Ryan Krejci, Monica and her husband, Travis Haug, Rachel and her husband, Brandon Caka, Adam and his wife, Brooke Janak, Megan Janak, 13 great-grandchildren; Brian Matthew Etlinger, Ethan Etlinger, Madeleine Etlinger, Amber Lucia Etlinger, Dylan Redding, Ryleigh Redding, Brycen Redding, Elizabeth Krejci, Hunter Haug, Hannah Haug, Haylee Haug, Kayden Caka, and Courtney Caka. She was preceded in death by her parents; Rudolph and Annie Haas, husbands; Erwin W. Fojt and Ernest Novosad, two brothers; Bernard (Benny) Haas, Robert Haas, two sisters; Clara (Haas) Bonick, and Natalie (Haas) Sockwell.
Cremation Rites are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas. Inurnment at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
