Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Mary Carson Upton.
Mrs. Bryson was retired from Graham Photo and was a member of Washington Avenue Church of God.
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Ken Bryson of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Joe Gibbs of Greenville, Kim and Pete Bailey of Greenville; one granddaughter, Jennifer Gibbs; two grandsons, Corey Gibbs and Drew Bailey; three sisters, Carolyn Cantrell, Betty Dill, and Linda Davis of Greenville; and two brothers, Charles Upton of Charleston and Bill Upton of Columbia.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 2, 2006, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 3, 2006, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of a daughter, Kim Bailey, 11 North Garden Circle.
