On Sunday, April 18, 1909, Moses Fairchild Adams died at his home in this village after an illness of only a few days. He was the only son of Alvin Adams and was born in East Bloomfield, NY May 23, 1840. In 1866 he married Miss Eliza Thayer, of Canadice, and they resided in that town until coming to Naples in 1877, following the occupation of teamster. He was a good citizen and had many friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sabra Andrews of East Bloomfield, and Mrs. L. P. Riggs, who resides in Michigan. Funeral services were held from the home on Tuesday at 2pm, conducted by Rev. James Moss, and on Wednesday the remains were taken to Canadice for interment.
