Mrs. Mary E. Wolcott died at her home in Eatontown on Sunday afternoon. She was 79 years old and was the wife of John Wolcott. Death was caused by heart disease. She had been in poor health a good many years but had been confined to her bed only a very short time. She was taken down on Wednesday, but seemed to be gaining slowly and it was thought that she would recover until about ten minutes before her death. Although well along in years she had the full use of all her faculties. She was a member of the Friends society. Besides her husband, three children survive her. They are Mrs. Joseph Patterson of Red Bank and Mrs. Garrett C. Morton and Theodore Wolcott of Eatontown. The funeral took place this afternoon, the interment being in the Friends' cemetery at Shrewsbury. (Red Bank Register, July 17 1895)
