NEWPORT -- Clarence C. Barron. 88, of 9248 Chinavarre Rd., Newport, died at 11 a.m. today shortly after being admitted to Mercy Hospital. He had been ill two years and in a serious condition since May.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the Allore Funeral Home at Monroe and at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Catholic Church at Newport. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. tomorrow.
Born Feb. 18, 1875, at Erie, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Barron. He married Lucy Cousino Oct. 2, 1900, in St. Charles Church. He was a lifelong Newport resident and a farmer until his retirement four years ago.
He is survived by his wife; 3 sons. Clayton of Fremont, Ind., Amos of Lincoln Park and Joseph of Newport; 7 daughters, Miss Adeline Barron at home, Mrs. Raymond Anteau of Dearborn, Mrs. Lloyd Hale of Wyandotte, Mrs. Charles Myland and Mrs. Gene Fountain of Newport, Mrs. Francis Bonneau of Rockwood and Mrs. Edward Rowe of Ypsilanti; a sister, Mrs. Henry Momenee of Oregon, Ohio; 42 grandchildren; 32 great - grandchildren, and a great - great - grandchildren.
