DELORES J. SLEGER

Delores J. Sleger, age 81, of 1103 Waldo Boulevard in Manitowoc, entered eternal rest early Friday morning, Aug. 6, 2004, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Delores was born July 25, 1923, in Manitowoc, the daughter of the late John and Frances (née Shemchak) Pionek.

On Nov. 5, 1946, she married Jim Sleger in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1940. She then continued her education at the Manitowoc Business College from where she graduated in 1941. Delores was employed as a private secretary and later as a bookkeeper for her husband's business and also a real estate broker. Delores was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Allan J. and Mary Ellen Sleger, Burlington, Mass.; one daughter and son-in-law: Julie and Michael Kovacs, Sheboygan; four grandchildren: Laura Moore, Eileen Conte, Allan Sleger II, Raeni Kovacs; two great-grandchildren: Ian Moore and Joseph Conte IV; two nephews along with other relatives and friends surviving.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.
