Son of Lee & Stella (Savely) Miller. His mother re-married when he was young, and he used his step-father's surname. Teamster, later truck driver. During the First World War, Aubrey enlisted on April 1, 1918, and served as a Private, in Company L, 112th Infantry, 28th Division, until his honorable discharge on May 19, 1919. From June 6, 1918 to April 30, 1919 he served overseas in the American Expeditionary Force. Aubrey had brown eyes and brown hair.
