He is survived by his wife, Kim Hester Spurling of the home; two sons,Robert Spurling of Lumberton and Dustin Spurling of the home, and one stepson, Christopher Johnson of Bladenboro; his parents: Norman E. Spurling, Sr. of Harleyville, SC; Mamie Seals and stepfather, Billy Seals of Bladenboro; two stepbrothers, Gerald Seals of Puerto Rico and Richard Seals of Stedman; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Original FWB Church with Rev. Henry Ward and Rev. Scott Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
