Funeral services for Alta Benita "Benny" Colby will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 3:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Mike Corb officiating with burial immediately following in Garden Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Alta Benita "Benny" Colby was born February 27, 1930 in Port Lavaca, TX to Robert Lee and Nettie Harper.
Benny was escorted through the Gates of Heaven by her loving husband of 54 years and reunited with her parents and six siblings on March 11, 2013.
Benny is survived by her daughter, Muffet Broadrick and husband Jon of Oak Ridge North; sons, Glen Colby and wife Cheryl of Willis, Alan Colby and former wife Holly Allen of Austin and Terry Dale Colby and wife Sheila of Conroe; grandchildren, Cory, Caren, Caylen, Chloe, Grace, Hannah, Reina, Terra, Tasha, Beth Ann, Lara, Gracie, Ryan and Robert, Thomas and Patti; 11 great grandchildren; special daughter, Pascale and husband Arnaud Guena. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
