Son of Freeling D. Osborne and Mary Anne Robinette; married Mary Catherine Clanton 7 February 1904 Barry County, Missouri.
William Jackson Osborne, aged 64 years, died at his home near Clantonville Wednesday, February 5, 1930. Funeral services were conducted the following day by Rev. A. L. Bennett of Cassville. Burial was made in the Clantonville Cemetery. Mr. Osborne was born near Blackwater, Virginia January 3, 1866 and came with his parents to Seligman to a farm south of Clantonville, Missouri in 1882. The family moved to the place where Mr. Osborne lived until the time of his death. In 1904 he married Miss Mary Clanton. He was highly respected by all who knew him and was ever interested in educational and progressive movements.
He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Zilla Osborne, of the home; two brothers, S. R. Osborne of Seligman and A. R. Osborne of Rogers; and three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Stapleton and Mrs. N. H. Trace of Seligman and Mrs. E. S. Osborne of Cushing, Oklahoma also survive.
