Marian A. Steeber, age 82, of 1126 Windiate Street in Manitowoc, passed away early Saturday morning, August 24, 2002, at the family residence.
Marian was born September 2, 1919, in Manitowoc. Her parents were the late Jacob and Mary (née Yanda) Johanek.
She married Joseph V. Steeber May 27, 1941, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church; he preceded Marian in death fourteen years ago, on October 11, 1988.
She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1937. Marian had been employed in past years with the Brey Grocery Store. She had been a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Christian Women of Holy Innocents.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Bev Steeber, Ladysmith, and Tom and Kay Steeber, Rockford, Illinois; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Margaret and William Prosser, Manitowoc, Ann and Jim Hooper, Whitelaw, and Mary Jo Steeber, Madison; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, along with other relatives and friends surviving.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Joseph Johanek.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.
