Her first husband was Frank Walker whom she married 21 Sep 1890 and both children are with Frank.

The Liberal News, Liberal, Kansas, 28 Dec 1922, p 4

Anna McDermott, daughter of Mr and Mrs TJ McDermott, was born in Daviess County, Missouri October 24, 1870. She was married to Frank Walker September 21, 1890, two children survive her being born to this union. Earl T Walker of Dalhart, Texas and Mrs Frances Walker-Horan of Seattle, Washington.

She has lived in Liberal for the greater part of the time the past twenty years. For some time she has been in failing health her condition becoming alarming about two weeks ago. She was taken to St Joseph's Hospital, St Joseph, Missouri, where the end came December 20. Her sister, Mrs C G Stevenson of Pratt, was with her at the end. Another sister, Mrs O M Lipscomb of Pasadena, California, survive her.

The remains were brought to Liberal last Thursday night, funeral services being held at the Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. Rev Mergier, pastor of the church, conducting the service.

Mr and Mrs McDermott and the other surviving relatives have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss.

Mrs Sharkey was a woman who was a friend to all and her acts of kindness to the needy and sick, performed in her quiet way, won her a place in many hearts. The writer has known her for many years and never asked the slightest assistance from her which was not given in the most cheerful and kindly manner. Her devotion to her parents was beautiful and while her going leaves a vacant place which can never be filled, her memory is a beautiful one.
