Mr. Clarence J. Stefaniak, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday, December 6, 1999, at his residence.

Clarence was born August 3, 1919, in Two Rivers, son of the late John and Mary (née Zimmerhakel) Stefaniak.

He graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, in 1937.

On October 5, 1940, he married Dorothea E. Raih, in Manitowoc; she preceded him in death August 21, 1997.

He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Manitowoc Company Management Club. During World War II, he served with the United States Navy, in both the European and Pacific Theatres of War. He was employed for 45 years by Manitowoc Engineering, retiring in 1984, as the factory manager.

Survivors include two children, Robert (Monica) Stefaniak and Suzanna Pfeiffer, all of Milwaukee; two brothers, Dr. Jerome Stefaniak, Florida, Donald Stefaniak, Manitowoc; one sister, Laverne (Florian) Krzizke, Two Creeks; also ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Stefaniak will be celebrated at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
