JOSEPH G. TIMRECK

Joseph G. Timreck, age 71, of 1716 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

He was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Sheboygan, son of the late Arthur and Valeria (Sprang) Timreck. Joseph attended Kiel High School and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1958.

On Sept. 27, 1958, he married the former Karen Bennin at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill.

Joseph was a independent over the road truck driver and was employed with numerous companies over the years, most recently with Landstar/Inway in Illinois, retiring in 1998.

He enjoyed working with his hands fixing trucks, trailers and tinkering in his garage. Joseph loved to camp with family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert; two sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Kathleen Larson; father-in-law, Clarence Bennin.

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Mike Bigley. Military rites will be accorded by the VFW Otto Oas Post 659 at church following the Mass. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth. The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Joseph's name.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
