Daughter of Anton Schoenberger (German immigrant) and Carolina Louis Neilson (Swedish immigrant). Born at Fort Union, Territory of New Mexico where her father served during the Indian Wars. The family migrated east and settled finally in Yates City. Married Robert Sandall December 24, 1890 in Knox Co, Illinois. The couple resided for a period of years in Montana, as well as Yates City. They had two sons: Henry "Lee" Sandall and Roy Sandall. She was a member of the Yates City Presbyterian Church, and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Sister to Minnie Florence (Mrs. Alex)Beaton, Lillian Charlotte (Mrs. R.C.) Grabill, Anna Marshall, Egidius George Schoenberger, John Henry Schoenberger, Charles William Fredrick Schoenberger, and Paul Anton Arthur Schoenberger.
